Progression path

Beginner Guide

A practical first-hour route through rooms, loot, upgrades, Guild, Blacksmith and party decisions.

Quick answer

Treat the first hour as a loop: clear the current room, spend permanent upgrades, check hero or weapon unlocks, then only push the next room when your current setup is no longer improving.

Current recommendation: Room first, permanent upgrades second, then hero or weapon changes only when the game presents a real unlock or bottleneck.

Party slot or hero unlock → HeroesDisplayed gear or Blacksmith choice → WeaponsAbility or purchase decision → Skill TreeNew area or room milestone → Dungeon Rooms

What to do next

  1. 1

Start from the dungeon room already unlocked; it is the clearest current progression anchor.

  2. 2

After a run, spend on permanent progression before changing several systems at once.

  3. 3

If a party slot or hero unlock is available, review Heroes before investing deeper in the same setup.

  4. 4

If displayed gear choices or costs are the blocker, use Weapons and Blacksmith before pushing a harder room.

  5. 5

If an ability unlock appears, test it in the room you already understand before treating it as a build-defining choice.

First-hour route

Your first job is to identify what changed after each run: a room milestone, a skill purchase, a Guild level, a weapon option, an ability slot or a hero unlock.

Do first

  • Clear the room you can already reach, then spend on permanent upgrades before changing several systems at once.
  • Check party-slot, hero, weapon and ability unlocks after each run so the next choice is tied to a visible milestone.
  • Use the beginner route as a short loop: room result, permanent purchase, one tested change, then the same room again.

Avoid this

  • Do not treat rare currency, unusual drops or unique-looking items as disposable until the current game screen makes the trade-off clear.
  • Avoid swapping hero, weapon and skill tree direction in the same test run; one change at a time makes the blocker easier to read.
  • Do not use demo progress as a full-game assumption, because demo progress does not transfer.

When to recruit heroes

Recruit or swap heroes when the game gives you a party unlock, named hero milestone or blessing decision. If no new slot or hero is available, keep improving the current route.

Active vs Idle settings

If your current version shows Auto Move Cursor, Auto Use Abilities or repeat-run automation, treat those toggles as convenience settings after you understand the room. Active play is better for testing a new hero, weapon or skill purchase; idle play is better once the same route is already stable.

Automation checklist

  • Use Auto Move Cursor only after you know where the current room pressure comes from, so automation does not hide the real blocker.
  • Use Auto Use Abilities when the ability timing is no longer the main thing you are testing.
  • Turn idle or repeat-run options back into an active check whenever a new room, hero, skill or weapon unlock changes the route.

What stays permanent

  • Skill purchases and broader progression systems should be treated as long-term strength unless your current version shows otherwise.
  • Room progress, coins, Guild levels, hero unlocks, weapon collection and expedition upgrades all appear as achievement-backed progression families.
  • Demo progress does not transfer to the full game, so do not use demo saves as a live-route assumption.
