Party systems
Heroes, Party and Blessings
A role-first hero and party guide that separates confirmed unlock evidence from current practical recommendations.
Quick answer
There are six announced heroes, and Steam records directly name Ranger, Shaman, Pyromancer, Paladin and Crusader milestones. Build around unlocked slots, then use blessings and weapons to cover the room that is blocking you.
Current recommendation: Use a balanced party until you have evidence from your own run: one damage answer, one durability or recovery answer, and one room-specific utility choice.
What to do next
- 1
Check which hero milestone or party slot is actually unlocked.
- 2
Assign a job to each party member before changing equipment: damage, sustain, control, chest/coin route or room push.
- 3
Use blessings as the final tuning layer after the hero and weapon choices make sense.
Party decision rule
When a run stalls, avoid changing hero, weapon and skill tree all at once. Swap one hero or blessing, replay the same room, then decide whether the bottleneck was damage, survival or clear speed.
Hero Reset Explained
Use Hero Reset as a decision checkpoint, not as permission to rewrite the whole party after every loss. If the reset screen appears in your current version, read its refund preview and keep any unlisted refund or permanence details unconfirmed until the game shows them.
When should you reset
- Reset only after a same-room test shows the hero investment is not solving the blocker.
- Reset when a newly unlocked party slot, blessing or hero role clearly needs resources more than the current slot.
- Do not reset just because a run is slow; first check whether weapons, blessings or skill-tree purchases are the real bottleneck.
Hero investment mistakes
- Do not chase every unlock at once; build around the party slots you actually have.
- Do not compare unverified ability kits as if they were a finished tier list.
- Do not change hero, weapon and skill tree direction in one run and then treat the result as proof.
Blessings
Blessings are confirmed by the launch announcement as a hero-related system, but public sources do not expose a complete blessing table. Use the dedicated Blessings page for the current evidence boundary.
Hero roster evidence
The public Steam data verifies milestone names, not full ability kits. Unknown fields stay open until captured from the current game.
| Hero / slot | Evidence | Practical use | Unverified fields |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting hero | ACH_UNLOCK_FIRST_HERO | Baseline party anchor for the opening loop. | Name, ability and blessing details |
| Ranger | ACH_UNLOCK_RANGER | Test when room pressure comes from reach or uptime. | Exact attacks, stats and blessing |
| Shaman | ACH_UNLOCK_SHAMAN | Test when survival or ability tempo is the blocker. | Exact attacks, stats and blessing |
| Pyromancer | ACH_UNLOCK_PYROMANCER | Test against dense room waves. | Exact attacks, stats and blessing |
| Paladin | ACH_UNLOCK_PALADIN | Test when the party fails before damage ramps. | Exact attacks, stats and blessing |
| Crusader | ACH_UNLOCK_CRUSADER | Late collection milestone candidate; compare against Paladin and damage slots. | Exact attacks, stats and blessing |
Confirmed context
- The launch announcement describes six heroes and blessings.
- Ranger, Shaman, Pyromancer, Paladin and Crusader appear as observed Steam achievement milestones.
- ACH_UNLOCK_ALL_HEROES and ACH_UNLOCK_ALL_PARTY_SLOTS confirm collection and party-slot progression goals.
